Morning routine for day 3 hair

On day one your hair is bouncy, clean and doing just what you asked of it. That is what happens when you get a professional blow out. However, the top  responses we at Glambar hear from someone who does not receive weekly blowouts are…. It doesn't last, my hair gets oily, and I work out too much. These are all excuses that with a little TLC, you can move past and enjoy a blow out for 5 days!

On day 1 your blow out is just how you like it, it's clean, smooth, shiny and bouncy! You go through your day running errands, dropping the kids off to school, and in meetings. You might even work out which causes you anxiety to think you will ruin your hair!

Day 2 you clean up around the hairline with a flat iron, brush it and away you go.

Day 3 is when you follow these steps below and it will take you to day 5.

Step 1

Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo is seriously a holy grail product for any girl on the go. Dry shampoo comes in a spray form, and is designed to absorb excess oil at the roots of the hair.  We carry two dry shampoos, Living Proof and Unite. One is great for thicker hair and the other is great for thin hair.

Simply rub some dry shampoo into oily sections of your hair oily spots watch your hair instantly transform. Not only does dry shampoo get rid of excess oil, it also provides lift at the roots for extra volume.

We normally recommend applying the dry shampoo around the front of your face where oil and sweat tends to collect. Also apply a light dusting throughout the rest of the hair at the roots, working the product in for texture and lift.

Since washing your hair too often is not good for your hair anyway, dry shampoo lets you stretch your hair wash days by a day or two to preserve your hair's natural oils. I personally need dry shampoo on day 3 after my blow out and I can last then for five days before going back to get my hair done.

Step 2) Clean up around the hair line

We all know that after you sleep, even if your hair is clean, you need to tame the baby hairs and put them back into place. So we recommend cleaning up around the hairline using a flat iron. This step is something Glambar does at the end of every blow dry to help seal the parts of the hair that absorb humidity first.   Using a small flat iron, tame the fly aways around your forehead and temples as well as the nape of your neck.  This step will polish the look and help it look brand new.

Step 3) Add some Texture

Put some texture in it, A loose beachy wave or a bouncy curl will give you that texture you need to add some bouncy back in your hair.  Simply use a curling iron or wand to take 1 inch sections and wrap the hair quickly around the face. This will break the hair up and give it some style again.

With these 3 easy steps your day 3 can look like you just got your hair professionally done again! Not just that, it will carry you through day 4 as well.
